Mesh or clear
Mesh for chainsaw work: it does not fog and it lets air through. The clear shield for brush cutting and trimmer line. A mesh visor does not stop fine dust, so wear safety glasses under it.
Set the fit
The ratchet sets the headband between 21.2 and 24.4 inches. The visor angle and the muff position both adjust, and the chin strap is padded.

Honestly, I really should have been more cautious. I had hoped that spending $40 would result in a decent product, but I was sorely mistaken. The helmet feels incredibly cheap, almost like something you would find in a children's toy store. The hearing protection is slightly better, but I would say it's only worth about $20. If you're working around trees that could potentially drop heavy limbs, I would strongly advise against purchasing this product.
I am pleased to report that after leaving this review, the company promptly refunded my money and even offered to send me a replacement product. However, I declined the offer.

I bought this item right after hurricane Helene hit WNC. There were so many trees down on my property and my neighbors', so I needed a face shield for my helmet. I also got some universal chin straps to keep it secure. This product was fantastic and really kept me safe while I was cutting up trees.
