The torture tests
A rating tells you a product passed a bench test. These show what happens when we stop being polite about it: a rider towed on his knees behind a pickup, a flamethrower at a face shield, a kneel on nails, glass and hot coals. Filmed with professionals on set. Don't try them at home.

Towed behind a pickup
What you see: a rider on his knees in KneeGuard Pro, towed across asphalt behind a pickup. A stunt, not a rating test: the pad's rating is on its product page. KneeGuard Pro
Flamethrower vs face shield
What you see: a flamethrower at FaceArmor Pro on a head form, then the visor pressed against a spinning tire. Not a heat rating: the shield is rated ANSI Z87+ for high impact, and that's all we claim. FaceArmor Pro
Nails, glass and hot coals
What you see: KneeGuard pads kneeling on rubble, scrap metal, broken glass, a bed of nails and burning coals. Not a rating test: the rating is on the product page. KneeGuard

How we run them. Real gear, real hazards, filmed with professionals on set, so don't try these at home. A torture test is a story, not a certification: the rating on the product is the spec, and we never claim more than it says. Which pad for which floor, and when to replace it, live in Safety Dispatch.
