Buckles, not hook-and-loop
Two straps close with slip buckles and are held to the shell by rivets. Set the length once, then clip in and out. A buckle does not clog with dust and mud the way hook-and-loop does.
For hard, rough floors
Concrete, block and stone are what this cap is for. It is semi-rigid: between a soft cap and a hard shell. For finished floors, the LightGuard pads have a non-marking leather face.

The last pair I had lasted a year and 3 months from you the time I received them . They out lasted all i bought before from lowes and home depot. Witch lasted weeks to 3 months at best . I have high hops for this my second pair concrete and gravle are tough on them but still use my first pair for backups
