DANG IT. THIS THING IS AWFULL.thought I'd spring for this as the description looked liked it would be a good strong magnet. IT CAN'T EVEN PICKUP A SMALL BUTTER KNIFE OR an empty tin can THAT MY TINSEEWEENSIE TELESCOPING PENCIL SIZED CHEAPIE magnet grabbers I BOUGHT THE SAME DAY FROM ANOTHER SELLER COULD DO EFFORTLESSLY . AVOID. THIS IS A WEAK, MAGNET RIPOOF. ADVISE TO SHOP ELSEWHERE . ALL MY OTHER smaller and cheaper MAGNETIC GRABBERS CAN PICK UP MUCH MORE THAN THIS. AVOID. I can't believe I fell for the hype in the descriptions of this one.

great idea, but poorly made. light doesn’t function at all. in the Amazon description it says “minus should be next to the spring when you load each battery in.” I can’t find any more guidance than that, and that wasn’t enough. light doesn’t turn on, which makes this almost entirely useless to me as I needed it to retrieve nails that I can’t see in a drain. and unfortunately since the magnet is weak too, I can’t pick up nails anyway. disappointing. 2 stars only bc the grabber itself does work, but not the light nor the magnet.
