While the reinforced gloves will protect your hands from sharp elongated edges, this model is not puncture resistant or puncture proof, so sharp pointed objects such as the end of fish fins might penetrate through them. Adore them

These gloves are effective - no tears or cuts so far. My only complaint is that they don't come in multi-packs, which is a shame because once they get dirty, you'll need more than one pair. Multiple pairs are a must!

Fits like a glove and offers excellent traction when handling food or fruit. The cut resistance is impressive against my sharp knives. It does tend to absorb water quickly and can stain after multiple uses, but a simple wash restores it to like-new condition.
