Set the headband once
Turn the ratchet until the band is firm, set the height with the pin lock, then leave it. The visor flips up between cuts without the shield coming off your head.

Swap the visor, keep the shield
Sparks and grit wear any visor down. When yours is scratched, pitted or cracked, loosen the two side knobs, lift it out, seat a new one and retighten. The headband stays set.
